Janice Chapman, PhD
Professor Janice Chapman is an Australian‑born soprano, voice researcher, and vocal pedagogue currently residing in England. She is also a professor of singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her vocal career includes major soprano roles in all the major British opera companies, including the Royal Opera House and English National Opera. Since 1975, she has been actively involved in teaching vocal technique, initially at the London College of Music and later both privately and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was a founding member of the Voice Research Society, now known as the British Voice Association, of which she chaired for five years. She currently holds honorary membership in that organization. Janice Chapman is also an honorary president of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) in the United Kingdom. She has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her contributions to music as an opera singer and voice teacher, as well as for her research in vocal tract acoustics, the introduction of the PRIMAL SOUND concept into vocal pedagogy, and the promotion of healthy voice work.

Anna-Maria Hefele
Anna‑Maria Hefele is an overtone singer and enthusiast of vocal art. She plays nyckelharpa, harp and other instruments. In 2014 she graduated as Bachelor of Arts in Elemental Music and Dance Education with classical singing as her main subject from the Carl Orff Institute, Mozarteum University Salzburg.
She started with overtone singing in 2005 and has written compositions for polyphonic solo voice since 2006. In 2006 she started building music instruments such as didgeridoo, wooden alpine flute, ocarina and Bohemian folk harp for her own use.
Anna‑Maria performs as an overtone singer in different ensembles, such as Supersonus, The Lady & The Cat, I Vocalisti chamber choir and Orchester der Kulturen. Since 2015 she has been a musician in the female circus show Gynoides Project in Stockholm. In 2013 she was a musician in Yvonne Pouget’s dance theatre and in 2014 she was also part of her team in the dance production La Cattedrale Nel Vento.
From 2010 to 2012 she was a singer, composer and vocal artist at the Nationaltheater Mannheim for the contemporary ballet The garden of other by Canadian choreographer Dominique Dumais. She sang in different choirs such as the Deutscher Jugendkammerchor (Robert Göstl), Europäischer Obertonchor (Wolgang Saus, Steffen Schreyer), Obertonchor München (Matthias Privler) She is also quite enthusiastic about old, traditional Bavarian folk‑music and yodelling, and also plays traditional dance music with Bavarian folk‑music group Garchinger Pfeiffer.
As she is also a teacher and gives workshops in overtone singing, yodelling and vocal improvisation.

Rebecca Meitlis is a Feldenkrais Practitioner, her practice focuses on singers, building on her professional experience in Opera and Creative Learning.
As well as teaching at The National Opera Studio, London she is a visiting professor at the Opera Academy Teatr Wielki Warsaw, instructor on the Excellenz Labor Oper summer school, guest coach for the Jette Parker Young Artists programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and a visiting coach on the Oxenfoord International Summer School, artistic director Malcolm Martineau OBE. She has taught at the Royal Northern College of Music where she was awarded a Teaching Fellowship, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Westminster Cathedral Choir School and the Opéra National de Bordeaux. In 2017 she collaborated with Sally Burgess on a research project, The Creative Singer, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her career in opera began when she was awarded an Arts Council Director’s bursary at Scottish Opera. She was a staff director at English National Opera where she assisted Sir David Pountney, Sir Nicholas Hytner, David Alden and Sir Jonathan Miller. She co‑founded and co‑directed the Baylis Programme the Education and Outreach department of ENO with David Sulkin OBE. She has worked for many arts and education organisations including Youth Music, Creative Partnerships and The Britten Pears Foundation.
Rebecca has published an article about her work with singers in the Journal of Theatre, Dance and Performance Training, entitled Connecting through the breath towards expressive communication in performance; an enquiry into the training of Opera singers.
Rebecca is a member of the Feldenkrais Guild UK and currently the chair of the Guild’s committee.

PhD in liberal arts and sciences, associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy (Jagiellonian University), and a lecturer of the anthropology, religion phenomenology and psychology, gender studies and psychoanalysis. Graduate of the Krakow School of Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (psychotherapeutic internship at Jozef Babinski Specialized Hospital in Krakow at Personality Disorders and Neurosis Treatment Unit in 2010). She gave lectures also at the invitation of Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza", Universidad de Salamanca, The School of Women Studies, University of Jadavpur, Calcutta. Vocalist, pedagogue. Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice at the Department of Jazz and Popular Music, specialising in vocal studies, as well as of the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice, in the piano class.
In the years 1990‑1994 Danuta Sendecka was a member of the Cantate Deo group. She participated in numerous album recordings, TV programmes, musical projects and musicals. She collaborated with big bands, chamber music ensembles and symphonic orchestras, singing various types of music: folk music, jazz, pop, musicals or neoromantic songs. Danuta Sendencka recorded solo parts for many film soundtracks. She also gave concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. For ten years she was a musical and vocal consultant for the Silesian Theatre in Katowice. She also collaborated with theatres in Krakow, Bielsko‑Biała, Chorzów and Lublin. Since 2009, Danuta Sendecka is a lecturer at the Department of Jazz and Popular Music of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, where she teaches jazz vocal courses. She is also a lecturer at the Department of Jazz and Stage Music in Katowice, where she teaches voice projection.

Dr Izdebski is a co‑founder of the World Voice Consortium, an international organisation gathering people and institutions working with various aspects of human voice.
Born in Poland, Dr Izdebski studied at the Lund University in Sweden, then at UCLA and UCSF in the United States. At present, he runs a private practice in San Francisco and works as a professor at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, a scientific advisor at the Bioengineering Department at Santa Clara University and at the Brain Plasticity Institute in San Francisco. He is also an honorary member of CEIMArs, an Italian interdisciplinary Center for Performing Arts Medicine, as well as of Austrian Voice Foundation and Socieda Mexicana d' Voz. Dr Izdebski is also a member of the Polish Phonetic Association and Collegium Medicorum Theatri CoMeT.

A certified osteopath, physiotherapist and athletics coach, graduate of the Sutherland College of Osteopathic Medicine (Belgium) and the first certified osteopath educated in Poland. Physiotherapist at the Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Laryngological Oncology of Poznan University of Medical Sciences located at the WCO Greater Poland Cancer Centre. Assoc. Prof. Marszałek is a lecturer at Poznan University of Physical Education. He specialises in the treatment of various musculoskeletal disorders.
In 2013, he was the osteopath of the Polish men’s national volleyball team. He provides consultations and therapy e.g. for leading Polish athletes, futsal players or speed skaters. He is involved in the work of Polish and foreign scientific and professional associations: Fascia Research Society (founding member), Polish Osteopathic Association (chairman), Polish Study Group of Head and Neck Cancer (board member), Society of Head and Neck Oncology Surgical Patients (chairman), Polish Society of Audiology and Phoniatrics, as well as the Polish Society of Physiotherapy (member).
A former chief middle-distance runner in the country, he currently runs marathons and mountain ultramarathons as an amateur. He completed e.g. Ultra Trial du Mont Blanc, Lavaradeo Ultra Trial, the Boston Marathon and the Ironman Triathlon.

Dr Wojnowski graduated from Poznan University of Medical Sciences. For many years, he has been employed at the Chair and Department of Phoniatrics and Audiology in Poznan. His doctoral thesis explored the problem of voice disorders in teachers. He holds numerous certificates for completion of courses and trainings in phoniatrics and laryngology, both in Poland and abroad.
Skills: consultations regarding voice and hearing disorders, conservative treatment of infections of the upper respiratory tract. Surgical treatment of the upper respiratory tract: tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, nasal septoplasty and conchoplasty. Surgical treatment of voice disorders: laryngeal microsurgery. Paediatric laryngeal surgery: adenoidectomy, adenotonsillotomy, ear drainage in serous otitis media, tongue and lip frenectomy.
Author of numerous articles and publications, including works on voice or hearing disorders. Member of the Polish Society of Otolaryngologists and the Union of the European Phoniatricians. Dr n. med. Waldemar Wojnowski, (DMSc)
Dr Wojnowski graduated from Poznan University of Medical Sciences. For many years, he has been employed at the Chair and Department of Phoniatrics and Audiology in Poznan. His doctoral thesis explored the problem of voice disorders in teachers. He holds numerous certificates for completion of courses and trainings in phoniatrics and laryngology, both in Poland and abroad.
Skills: consultations regarding voice and hearing disorders, conservative treatment of infections of the upper respiratory tract. Surgical treatment of the upper respiratory tract: tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, nasal septoplasty and conchoplasty. Surgical treatment of voice disorders: laryngeal microsurgery. Paediatric laryngeal surgery: adenoidectomy, adenotonsillotomy, ear drainage in serous otitis media, tongue and lip frenectomy.
Author of numerous articles and publications, including works on voice or hearing disorders. Member of the Polish Society of Otolaryngologists and the Union of the European Phoniatricians. At present, Dr Wojnowski is a Senior Assistant at the Chair and Department of Phoniatrics and Audiology in Poznan.
